Upskilling: IT Learning Session for Recruiters
Pasig, Philippines - The IT Training session, held on August 30, 2024, provided a venue for recruiters to learn and understand the technical expertise needed to navigate various software, systems, and tools. With this training, our recruiters looked to work more efficiently, minimize errors, and enhance productivity.
The team discussed the categories of Coding and Non-Coding IT job roles to clarify each role’s responsibilities and the tools used in different systems or projects. The resource speakers also introduced the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to help employees understand the entire progress of the system and the roles of IT professionals both in front of and behind the system.
Additionally, the recruitment services hub had a guest speaker online, specializing in Web Backend Development, who provided an overview of the backend developer role and the coding required to run a system. This gave recruiters valuable insights into backend development. The team then included exercises where participants presented sample profiles matching the provided job descriptions, which helped strengthen their understanding of sourcing IT candidates.
Many participants were actively engaged, and feedback indicated that the recruitment team enjoyed the training.
As the workshop wrapped up, techniques and tips on sourcing were shared, along with motivational speeches to inspire them to advance further in their roles. The upskill training course was a success, enhancing recruiters’ knowledge and skills as Technical Recruiters.
